David Blechman is a founding investor in Aion Biosystems™ and serves on the Board of Directors where he is responsible for overseeing investor relations and business development. Prior to Aion Biosystems™, David was an EVP and founding partner of Wheels Up where he helped raise the initial 100 million dollars of start-up capital and the Director of Sales for the Northeast. As part of the Wheels Up executive team, David was involved in all facets of the business including strategic development, sales, operations and marketing – helping grow the business to over a 2 billion dollar valuation. Wheels Up became the first publicly traded private aviation company in February 2021. David came from a world of finance where he spent over 5 years with Cantor Fitzgerald on its equities trading desk. Prior to that he was the Principal and CEO of an international wholesale textile company with revenues of over $50 million. David graduated Syracuse University with a Bachelor in Science- he currently resides with his wife and two children in New York City.
